Best birthday gift ever!!!

For my 23rd birthday, my 1st brother bought me ticket for YUNA's concert at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP). I was soooo thrilled about it. We LOVE music and we spend our teenage life playing trios together during our free time (saxaphone, violin & piano). It turn out to be our siblings night out since both of my brothers decided to come along. SO, their job description that night was driver, photographer, chaperone & bodyguard...hehe

My brothers: Anas, Azhar(excluding Adam cause he got UPSR the next day) and me...

Why I like Yuna?? Simply because of I fall in love with her songs:
1. I can relate with the songs cause some of it related to events in my life.
2. Her music got soul in it..
3. Definitely ORIGINAL!!
4. It is different than other Malaysian artist.
5. The music just suits me..a mixture of everything I like..Just nice. The EP in US is much more better. She has improve a lot.

SO....about the concert. It was brilliant & awesome!! I sat about 10 meters from her.The whole 90 minutes gives me goosebumps. The band was wonderful too. Her music was presented 10 times nicer than the CD. And of course, i'll be biased and say her voice was PERFECT!!

I found out that the concert ticket was sold out and they make another concert the next day. But that additional concert ticket was sold out too...incredible response from her fans!

with some of Yuna's band members Effry(bass), Shafiq (2nd guitar) & Adam (keyboard)...they deserved some compliment too!!

my dream comes true....yeay!!

A 'syok sendiri' poem using some of Yuna song titles:

SHe's just a'GADIS SEMASA'
with 'GREEK GODDESS' aura
who says 'Raya oh Yeah'
and enjoys 'FIREWORK' 'AFTER MIDNIGHT'

She 'DECORATE' her lyrics with musics
they are 'RANDOM AWESOME'!!
'ROCKET' to fame,there she goes..
ain't she just a SUPER SOMETHING?

Raya & my holiday project in the kitchen (>,<)

Happy Eid to muslim bloggers!!

FInally,After 4weeks of hectic life as medical student at Medical department, i get to be a mad scientist in the lab...(meaning the chef in the kitchen) haha...it was fun to try out the recipes and experiment on your own cook food.

This year i learned how to make 'ketupat daun palas'. I was suprised that they sell daun palas at Malacca. My mum told me the leave is also used by Malacca people to make desert (kueh)..We made it,Since this food rarely found in Malacca (origin from Kelantan-terengganu).

It takes me quite some time to master this triangle shape casing.

Another food i miss but hard to get in KL is Kerabu Mangga !! The kerabu mangga i found in KL does not have fish in it.Time to make one at home..yippeee

This year is the 3rd eid celebration at my new house in Malacca. This year decided to host a small feast (open house) for our neighbours and extended family around KL, Malacca & Muar. We also celebrate my 1st nephew 1 year old birthday. It was fun. Since our lawn is quite spacious the childrens love to play football and fireworks there.

Birthday boy with his cousin in his Bumblebee (A gift from Mama Tok)

Other projects are some biscuits and my very own bread pudding. Love the oven so much. I wish i can have one at college..with a set of my own kitchen..

Last but not least, I still get 'duit raya'..haha..Even 2 of my cousin (same age as me) who just started working, also gave me their very own duit raya..Oh, i just love being a student. This will be the last year. The privilage will expired & i have to started giving next year (>,<) Insyallah..Misi Jubah Merah 2012!!

Dare to DREAM!!

Salam(peace be upon you),

WARNING:this entry is quite self centered cause i'm talking bout my achievements..hehe :)

October is the month of some of my dreams comes true. It all does not come easily. Practise makes perfect.I did encountered some failures in achieving them. Therefore, when I practise, spend some time & money in preparing myself for it. I was dare to DREAM.

However, the road is not easy and I never thought that god will answers my prayer so soon in giving everything in a month...alhmdulillah(praise Allah).

My dreams that are fulflilled:

1. PAss my Paediatric & Orthopaedic posting (core posting that people can easily get flunk). so far never fail any posting yet even though i'm busy with college activities & student societies..God forbid any of this from happening..Amin :)

2. Get 2nd for Futsal in inter-collage sports game at UKM (SUKEM 2010)-we are competing other non medical colleage in our Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia so far our team never win any game.our greatest achievement was a tie..hehe.On that day we only loss to the winning team.My 'udang terbakar' (burned face) was worth it after all-still have it after 2 weeks. We played 5 games straight that day.

As the Captain, I can never do this alone. Thanks to the dedicated people in the team-Temoh, Farah, Fatin,Farhana,Christina,Afifah & Hanim for the constant practise this year...even during puasa :) also Nana and friends as our additional help! It all started last year but the team expanded middle of this year. Thanks to my futsal ball that become the pacemaker of our team..Just before SUKEM, my futsal shoes came along, and it is PINK!-the only thing I bought for raya :)

3. Get to sing and perform duet piano-guitar at my college during Hari Siswi :) last performance was last year..Me & Farah performed togather last year during our college dinner but we did not sing. This time we sing and we only practise togather the night before and the performance turn out to be just nice as everyone like it :)

4. Able to finish 10km run at get the finishing medal at UPM Wave Run 2010-This is my second attempt on 10km run. My first one was at Putrajaya.unable to get the finishing medal & was quite sad about it(maybe will try again next year). This time I am quite prepared. Thanks to Nadiah my runner buddy for the training togather, Mr KC Lee a.k.a coach for the guide and 'Nike+ band'..not feeling guilty to buy it coz I get it less 50%..hehe

(an insult to Mizuno because regardless the runner tee, I'm wearning Nike+band & Nike shoe with Addidas pants)SORRY!!

I was DARE to DREAM! and NOW i BELIEVE anything is POSSIBLE..insyallah(with Allah's will). Just need to believe and work on it.. everthing starts with the WILL to DO IT!

p/s it is normal to get down sometimes. I do feel it to. Just need to find the way to get your spirit up. What happen this month do lift up my spirit...however you never know what the future holds. May my spirit always lift up high (",)

Our beloved teacher..

Salam,

Wow, Paediatric posting does have its impact on me. I have 'puasa' from updating my blog for a month. And yes Ramadhan is coming up starting 11/8..but that won't keep me from having small jogs by tasik in the evening or futsal next to rumah Mc D every Thursday(strictly..the court is ours on Thrursday.no men are allowed.sorry to disapointed you guys last week.hehe)

With PERSIAP 2010 COmmittee..goodbye MU..welcome Arsenal

No one can replace his dedication towards us the students. Not all teachers are the same. Some are garang(stirct..and even give you palpitation), some are very friendly(making you smile up to your ear) and there's even certain lecturers are sarcastic (making you Insaf for a certain period). There's even lecturer who ignores you that you have to make certain effort for them to aknowledge you (if you are proactive enough).

All the differences colors up our life as astudent. I could not agree more with Prof Norzi, another respectable lecturer from O&G. The diversity makes life intresting and NOT BORING. Therefore, its up to us students to take it positively or negatively.

I'm glad to know that if you did something wrong, all the anger and dissapointment won't be remembered(unless it is significant). So, its ok to make mistake, but improve not to make it next time. Don't make the bad scene affects you so much causing you traumatized when you see the lecturer.

From a story by one of our lecturer(cannot tell who),it happened to one of our senior during professional exam(for final years). She was sooo traumatized by this one lecturer causing her to faint during the exam..the power of FOBIA..hehe

Buddies United at Prof's house

Personal birthday gift..sorry for the 'bunyi sumbang'..haven't play my 2nd instrument for quite sometime..

So, lecturers. I am glad for your help and touched by your dedication. To Prof Madya Shahrir Mohammad: Thank you for everything. Happy Belated Birthday! Glad we did suprised you with the help of your beloved wife & daughters :) I'm glad to be apart of the 5th year suprised party plan

Wslm.

P/s : Glad that Prof 'tak jadi' transfer to USIM totally :)

Thank you for the wishes and prayers that everyone send me via SMS & FB. I was suprised to received 99 new notification after restraining myself from using it from saturday morning till tonight since I'm busy with my cousin's wedding preparation.

Today is the 5th cousin's wedding that I shared the wedding cake with my the newly weds..haha..Thats the truth of 6th June. You can see a lot of people getting married on date. The school holidays usually fall on that day. YDP Agong's birthday also sometimes choosen to be on that date (this year on 5th of June). Some mother even choose to do cesearian section on this date (its a true story I learned from my friend).

Maybe the number is nice to certain people 06..06..?? this date does not signifies any celebration, yet people like to choose it for a wedding date. maybe because it will ususally fall on school holiday. My birthdate falls on 1988.thereore my birthdate is 06.06.88..nice number eh??

As for me..happy getting older..huhu.It's ok..I will be 'Young at heart' as always :).Hopefully I will 'amanah' in what Allah give me to live this life as servant and to serve others.May success be mine and happy life awaits me in future. AMin..

Happy Birthday!!

The picture above taken during last raya..Abg Memen busy teaching Adik to ride bicycle.

SAlam..

Today is my beloved Mama's birthday. Alhmadulillah, i think finally she found more peaceful life after our family decided to move to Malacca from Kuala Lumpur.

The previous school was an all-boys-famous-secondary government school in Kuala Lumpur. It was busy, hectic and full with high expectation. Being the 2nd person in charge with the school she have to deal with both teachers and students...and also parents. The Principal always outstation to meet the course and activities by government for the school principal, leaving my mum in charge. My mom have to adapt to this condition after 21 years happily teaching at an all-girl-school that gave less pressure.

Glad for my mum, she's sound more happy and less irritated. Funny, she event complaint to me she don't know what to do at the school(too relax after the hectic life at KL) because all the teachers are very cooperative and do their job well. The students are well behave and didn't cause much problems. The school was my dad secondary school. Moreover, Malacca is a nice small city compare to the busy KL...Well, i live most of my life in KL.Can't wait to get back to the new home(",)

HAPPY 53rd BIRTHDAY MAMA!

May you found more happy, less stress and peaceful life.I miss you!!

Engagement Ceremony at Indonesia

SAlam.

Alhamdulillah, my last Oral Skill Case Assessment test (OSCA)in UNPAD has over. I'm happy with my result. Finally i can menarik nafas lega.Congratulation to all my fellow friends who passed with flying colors. For those who didn't do it well don't get down...we still have another final test (OSCE) this thursday..

First of all it's not me who is engaged....

I just want to share my experience attending an Indonesian Engagement ceremony on March 8th (SUnday). The future bride is my friend & aerobic 2nd instructor(the 1st one is her older sister who owns the gym with her husband) .

Her name is Euis. Since Malaysia and Indonesia are in the same Malay Archipelago, there are not so much different compare to us (Malaysia).
The wedding will be on August or September.

Me,Euis and the 3 little cute rascals..

I & Salmi are the only Malaysian who attend it.Others are the family members and our fellow aerobic friends.

The ceremony was done at the future bride house

Here are the chronology:

1. Future Bridegroom & family came from Bandung

2. Opening ceremony. There are speeches given by the future bride's side(unfortunately they are in Sundanese language, luckily an elderly women sit next to me kindly translate it to us.

3. The future Bride recite the Al-Quran.

4. Speech from the future bridegroom's father.

5. The future bride was asked weather she is single or not and does she oppose this engagement ...of course Euis says no..what a chaos will it be if she says YES!

6. The ring goes to the finger of the future bride...And vice versa(yup, unlike us the guy have to wear an engagement ring too)

7. Salam and restu from both parents

8.Sundanese food Feast(nyum..nyum..) & silaturrahmi(get to know each other)

CONGRATULATION to Euis!!...she's only 19 and is getting married.

Irony,I'm 20 and going to be 21 and still have no one...hehe..(single&happy me..(",))

Birthday Attack!!

Last night me & my floormates celebrate the january babies..
There are 5 girls(Matun, Atikah, Awa, Fati & Meza) celebrated their birhtday togather.
They all become 22yrs old except Awa who is 21 bcoz she was born in 1988(like me)
...PTS student.
Here are a bit of our monthly birhtday ritual:
1. We sing birhtday song & crash into the birthday girl's room.
2.Then,We become model of the night....take loads of picture with the cake
4. Birhtday girl cut the cake & we eat them.
5.The Most Awaited Ritual: Asking Killer Questions...we can ask any question we want from the
birhtday girl and she have to answer it..the secret will be keep by the members in the room.(we do this while eating the ice cream & chips...junk food)
P/s: Usually this last for two hours...usually we make a lot of noise(this is normal when 12 girls get togather(",)
Advantage: It does make us more closer..Plus, we get the chance to dig each other's secret ..hehe
